Seadragon holds open water, as well as other forms of dive training, throughout South-central Virginia, North Carolina, and Northern Virginia as well as up and down the eastern seaboard. While Seadragon provides the solid background in the basics of scuba diving essential to every diver, we also offer a variety of higher-level trainings including core classes such as Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, Divemaster and Assistant Instructor; as well as specialties like Deep Diver, Night Diver, Underwater Navigator, Search & Recovery Diver, and Wreck Diver. We also offer distinctive specialty training in Underwater Criminal Investigations (UCI), Emergency First Response, and Public Safety Diver (PSD). At Seadragon, we prepare you to explore a variety of different underwater environments in a safe and environmentally conscious way.
Since his first dive in 1989, Clay has completed nearly 1,000 dives, including close to 500 Public Safety dives. A Virginia State Police diver, Clay has been involved in approximately 250 dives as operational coordinator. In October 2007, he completed his training to become a Underwater Criminal Investigator under Instructor Mike Berry. In June 2008, Clay became a PADI Underwater Criminal Investigator Instructor (Distinctive Specialty). He is currently a PADI IDC Staff Instructor. Clay also teaches Emergency First Response, 11 PADI Specialties, including the PADI Public Safety Diver and three PADI Distinctive Specialties, as well as the Underwater Criminal Investigation (UCI) Course.
